How to convert audio to MIDI

Use Octave to move the notes up or down, set the Tempo (BPM) of your project, and choose a Quantize grid (1/16, 1/8 or 1/4 notes) to snap the timing.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work on full songs or chords?
It's built for single melody lines - one note at a time. On full mixes or chords it will follow whatever is loudest, which usually isn't useful. For a song's melody, use an isolated vocal or a clean recording of the tune.
Which DAWs can open the file?
All of them - it's a Standard MIDI File (.mid): FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic, GarageBand, Cubase, Reaper, MuseScore and more.
Why are some notes missing or extra?
Very short notes, breathy or noisy sounds and slides are hard to pin down. Record close to the mic in a quiet room, sing clearly, and use Quantize to tidy the timing afterwards.
